“Bad Gas” from a Bad Lawyer
By Eric Jackson on Oct 2, 2008 in advertising, gasoline, indefensible opinions, man-drama, stupid behavior
Andy Allman, Hendersonville trial lawyer, wants to be your next 45 District State Representative. His “friends” tell me that he’s NOT a parasitic ambulance-chasing lawyer. Says one of his friends in a recent blog post at politics.nashvillepost.com.
Again, I would suggest that you get to know Andy Allman before being so quick to attempt to discredit him. The fact that his Civil Rights cases could set a standard for the country and help people that you and your candidate and party ignore is all that needs to be said about him and how he cares for people and their needs, not what they can do for him politically.
Even Sumner Democrat Party Chairman Len Assante got into the fray:
Finally, your characterizations of Andy are simply false. He is not what you say he is. Have you ever met the man? I have known him and his family for YEARS and know who he is and what is practice is about.
Hey EJ, take a chill pill, take a basic course in advertising, take a minute to meet the people you bash and another to learn about the industry you seem to despise. Maybe then you’ll moderate your view a little.
Len, you telling me to “moderate” my view gives me indescribable joy. Anyone who writes a column titled “Veer Left” shouldn’t be handing out advice on moderating their tone. Come on…we’re both partisan and you know this.
And, my college degree? Advertising. Suggesting that the advertisement for Kelly, Kelly & Allman was anything BUT a political ad shows your blind bias. Andy Allman has zero name ID in Hendersonville because he doesn’t DO ANYTHING here. So how do you remedy that if you’re Andy Allman? Run a soft political ad (under cover of your law firm) that shows a nice soft picture of your family. Where was Dulin Kelly? I guess he’s not running for office, so it’s really not necessary to put his mug in the photo.
And speaking of Dulin Kelly…no, I’ve never met Andy Allman, but my friend Bill Sinks, owner of Bluegrass Beverages knows him and his work. After learning a little more about Andy Allman’s work, it reassures me that yes, 99% of attorneys give the rest a bad name. The idea that Allman is some high-minded litigator tends to wither when you take a good look at the frivolous gutter-variety lawsuit he filed on behalf of his law partner, Dulin Kelly.
Mr. Dulin Kelly purchased gas for his Mercedes Benz at Bluegrass Market. His Mercedes had some technical difficulties and Kelly had the German junk towed all the way to Bowling Green, the location of his dealership. The dealership, after examining and repairing the car, declared the problem was caused by “bad gas.” To prove it, they extracted gasoline from the Mercedes Benz and placed the sample in the most pristine and sterile container known to man: an empty Pepsi bottle.
Meanwhile, back in Hendersonville, not a single person complained about “bad gas” purchased at Bluegrass Market. Not even local judge “Buck” Rogers. Bill Sinks pulled the record of credit card purchases and discovered that “Buck” Rogers purchased gas ten minutes after Dulin Kelly from the exact same batch at Bluegrass Market. In an even stranger twist of fate for the litigous Dulin Kelly and Andy Allman, “Buck” Rogers was the judge assigned to hear the complaint.
Upon hearing that he and Allman were about to have their heads handed to them in public, Kelly decided he’d settle out of court. Take a wild guess what he settled for…
Yes, a free tank of gas for Dulin Kelly’s Mercedes Benz. From Bluegrass Market.
I guess Andy Allman can’t spend ALL his time working on lofty civil rights. Screwing local businesspeople is a staple of any successful trial lawyer’s practice.

Len,
Andy Allman I can speak from experience is the biggest “cock in the mouth” ambulance chasing lawsuit happy walking the dog douchebag this county knows. Its not that he is a nobody and isnt recognized he is the parasite that that EJ describes that does feed on local business with his tomfoolery of lawsuits. I am reviewing the list and yes he is on the top of my list for the biggest waste of a law degree. I am not sure what being talking about but the bad gas case for the Kelly lawfirm is just a tiny nugget of crap that those two bite off and chew on a daily basis.
Has anybody checked to see if Andy really has a family becasue I have sat in a room with him for five minutes and could hardly hold myself back from knocking the hell out of him. No it wasnt in some great Civil rights case, it was one that would make the bad gas case look like it had some merit.
Andy might be a great candidate if the NAACP were looking for another leach on the system to stir crap up I will give him that credit. This man isn’t a trial lawyer he is a hit and run settle dont mettle attorney that looks for a quick settlement and his cut no matter how dumb the suit is. I am going to put up another DM sign in my yard and knock on every door not to just make sure this guy looses but gets embarrassed.
Len if your backing that clown know your facts and spend the week with him to see what he really does.

Lol…
Acts of desperation…
Push polls, and now these distortions? Typical GOP stuff.
First:
Lawsuit in question was not against Bluegrass Beverage, but rather the Mercedes Dealer. Bill Sinks was just a party. The suit demanded money for damages from the DEALERSHIP.
Second:
Mr. Cooke’s comments about Andy should be placed in the context of the lawsuit he was a party to. No need to go into details, but let’s just say Mr. Cooke was not always the perfect gentlemen when around female co-workers. Defending people like the plaintiff in that suit against people like Mr. Cooke is what Andy is about. I’m proud to call him my friend.

Hey Andy…oh, and hi to you too Len,
So it only took seven days for you two to come up with a half-baked response to that bullshit lawsuit? I spoke with the attorney for Bluegrass Beverages. I hate to tell you (and Andy probably didn’t tell you, Len) but Bluegrass Beverages AND the dealership were sued for damages. Dulin really didn’t give a damn who paid for his Mercedes to get fixed…as long as he didn’t have to dip into his trial lawyer money.
As for Mr. Cooke, I’ll take him any day over a bottom-feeding trial lawyer. It’s also VERY interesting that you didn’t mention the fact that Andy Allman LOST the suit involving Mr. Cooke…talk about context. Not a suit Andy took on contingency, I’m sure. Gotta get paid, right? Also left out the fact that the plaintiff was a serial victim. Oh well, maybe she can get a new job and Andy can help her prosecute them for a slip-and-fall. Water is everywhere.
I’m enjoying Andy’s humorous and slanderous negative campaign. I might have to pull a “Hawkins” and turn your campaign in for employing illegal aliens. Either that or whoever is writing your campaign literature didn’t make it past third grade. I can’t wait to see what your next half-baked response to my future posts.

Len and Andy,
For the record I have never had a lawsuit against me personally, one that I have lost or won. So lets get the facts staight. If you are talking about the suit Allman and Kelly filed on one of the businesses I operated I will be happy to go into detail about suit. I would really be careful on that one Len. The lady I am sure values her name and what may be left of her family and reputation but I am happy to respond to anything you may have to say to defend yourself. That is where I had the pleasure of first meeting Andy.
I would get a copy of lawsuit against former company I worked for and the names involved and the nature of the suit itself should be a great summary of who Andy Allman is and the kind of law he practices. Hense my convictions now when the idiot tried running for politics. This isn’t payback becasue I never lost anything, nor did I have to pay for anything in his suit it never went to trial. What does that tell you? If this case was so bulletproof and such an injustice was done wouldnt it have went to trial? the comapny I worked for had deep deep pockets and it would have paid big. Anyway Len suit wasnt against me and you should retract that statement along with any statements of me winning or losing. I didnt have a word to say about Andy when Andy was existing as a trail lawyer. That is how Andy made his living and who I am to judge of who sells their soul to the devil to make a buck? It was no sweat off my back and I continued operating that business untill another and a bigger opportunity came about. Hell I wont even have to respond to it if you post it. Post suit and it will clearly speak for itself and the person who filed it. I would post it if you have any balls. Andy has it filed under bullshit lawsuits I actually am not proud of but it pays my bills. I challenge you to post it. Throw everything out on the table. I just grew up in the school where if you open your mouth you better have something to back it up.
#2 As far a being a perfect gentleman. I know who I am and many people know who I am. I’ll call a spade a spade when I see it and wont back down and will have all the facts before I ever open my mouth. You and Andy may live in the world of half-truths and throw stuff on the wall to see what sticks, but I assure you that you better have a strong arm to throw mud at me. I ask you to again post the picture of the lady in question that filed suit you seem to be so interested in and the rest of my female staff at the time who were all single and a picture of the woman that I have been dating for six years and we can all play the game…”are you kidding me this is really a lawsuit”. Also review the timing on her suit against the company. Look deep Len the truth will set you free.
I again ask why wasnt this in any of the papers? Let me help you….. becasue it was so obvious it was bullshit that if the press was to get ahold of it you wouldnt have to know anything to judge it.
Len I will be happy to debate Andy all day long. Hell people just look at Andy’s work website. Its there in black and white of what he does for a living. As I said the world has a place for bottom feeding parasites and politics isn’t it. I had to fall out of my seat laughing on one of you idiots making a huge stink of his Clarksville Racism police case. Who the hell do you think ended up paying for all that? The people. I would love to get a list of Andy’s caseload for the last 24 months. Lets post that and if I see that he is helping us as a district not preying off local business I’ll retract everything I said and personally appoligize.
If Andy wants ot be a trail lawyer thats fine. there are people that choose to be prostitutes, families capable of working that choose to stay on welfare, dirty businessman, ect…. but I dont see them running for politics. Call this guy what he is. He is a modern day Roman tax collector.
Just look at Andy for who he is and who he works with and what he has done. Len its simple… I was taught many years ago if it smells like crap and taste like crap and looks like crap …guess what it is…..Keep tasting it Len it will come to you.
