Eric,

I loved the dead snake analogy. Maybe snake is a little soft for that little prick Allman. He claims he was born and rasied here and yet have I ever seen him anywhere positive or out in the chamber or anywhere else for that matter. Is he running because gas is getting to expensive to chase ambulances?

This district needs Andy about as much as it needs another tire store. Maybe we should compile the bullshit lawsuits Kelly and Allman have on local business in this district? Lets publish those groundbreaking suits that changed the world Len for his credit. I am just wanting the bullshit ones or are they all that way?

BEFORE he decided to run? Seriously? Who is kidding who here? Maybe it first ran before he ANNOUNCED his candidacy.

But hey, I appreciate the fact that you now appear to be admitting that the SECOND ad came out after the official announcement.

Unfortunately for you and Andy Allman, your manufactured outrage campaign over the letter is failing miserably. It's probably easier to get sympathy for a dead snake in the road than a trial lawyer running for office. :)

An interesting analysis, except for one CRITICAL point. Allman's ad ran in Sumner Lifestyles PRIOR to Andy even annoucing (or deciding) he was going to run. He purchased SEVERAL issues worth of advertising with Sumner Lifestyles. The FIRST iteration of the ad came out MONTHS ago. Just because the same ad is repeated in campaign season does not make it a "thinly disguised" campaign ad. Here it is as simple as I can say it: The ad was created, designed, purchased and inititally published BEFORE there was an Allman campaign. Before, as in "not after" or "not during."
What also is without doubt is that Rep. Maggart brought Andy's family into the fray. She SPECIFICALLY mentions his family in the text of the letter and includes a copy of the ad. Subtle, maybe, but it is there.
Finally, let's proofread those letters a little better!

[...] Look, the fact is, they’re both wrong. I know it’s hard to believe, but politicians can be fallible. It does happen from time to time. Mr. Allman should keep his kids out of advertisements unless he’s okay with people redistributing that image. If we can be rational people here for a minute, you don’t put your family in a business ad during political season when you’re running for office unless that ad for your business is just a thinly-veiled ad for your candidacy.
