Obama to use volunteers, email, possbly Brownies & Cub Scouts for recovery effort

Last night (Sun, 8/31/08) I saw Sen. Barack Obama interviewed on CNN. The subject was hurricane Gustav and what the junior senator from Illinois would do about it. It was utterly hilarious. I’m guessing that CNN didn’t find it so funny because I’m unable to find it anywhere, neither web nor CNN on cable. I’m quite certain that if he hadn’t sounded like a high school junior running for class president, it would be everywhere to demonstrate how “ready” the junior senator from Illinois is to be POTUS.
Of course you’ll only have my interpretation of the interview to be able to understand what Junior Sen. Barack Obama actually said because the Communist News Network (CNN) hasn’t shown it again.
And guess what? He’s not ready. He literally suggested that we could mobilize millions of volunteers to help with the recovery effort using, I can only assume, email addresses of his brainwashed minions. Has anyone told the Junior Senator about the National Guard and FEMA? That maybe, just maybe, should we stumble and elect the eloquent one, he’d be able to use federal resources, and not his merry band of worshipers, to help in the recovery effort?
Don’t for a second think I’m denigrating the great work done by volunteers in the hurricane Katrina effort. But had New Orleans again ended up under twelve feet of water, there is absolutely nothing that Jeff Spicoli or Annie Savoy could do to help.
Actually the Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts already set up before FEMA:
““The Scouts have already been here and set up 1,000 cots. There’s nothing left to do. It’s all been done. I tell you, if you have a natural disaster, screw FEMA, call the Boy Scouts.”
(Source: Screw FEMA, call the Boy Scouts)
In the article the author said his wife was out shopping when she returned to receive a message from her son’s Cub Scout Pack for all available to come to the Dallas Convention Center immediately to set up for Louisiana refugees fleeing from Gustav. She arrived too late
- but at least made the effort.
Another Good Turn for America!

Cool! Locally I’m a proud supporter of Scouting. Last year I was the Friends of Scouting chairman for the Cherokee district. We raised over $70,000 for Scouting in Middle Tennessee. Thanks for the info!!
